Alissa 101: A Crash Course
My name is Alissa Moorey, and I am a freshman at Faulkner University. I was born in a tiny town called Wichita Falls, Texas. My family likes to joke that if I was born any farther south, I would be Mexican. That's probably where my love for tacos comes from. I grew up in Mooresville, North Carolina, where I developed a love for bluegrass, barbecue, and hockey. My parents insisted that me and my two older brothers learn to play music, read constantly, and develop our own opinions, so I grew up in a house full of instruments and debates over which Founding Father is the best. (Hint: It's John Adams.) I'm majoring in political science and would like to one day be an environmental lawyer. My favorite pastime is hiking, and I was able to spend over a week hiking through Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Park this past summer. My greatest passion though is Christ and the impact He made in my life when he gave the ultimate sacrifice on the cross. Also, my dog is the cutest thing you'll ever see, and I love him even more than I love tacos.
Hey Alissa! It's me, your roommate! The name of your blog is clever, seeing as you do really love tacos! I learned so much about you in this blog. I'm just kidding. I already knew all of that! You made several excellent points. First of all, John Adams is most definitely that greatest of all Founding Fathers. That needs no explanation, but he is not as cool as Ronald Reagan, obviously! He's the real M.V.P. As you know we are both planning to be lawyers, and that is super awesome! You're basically planning to copy Marshall Eriksen, so that's neat . I see you like hiking; that's cool! I very much enjoyed seeing all your pictures from your Grand (Tetons) hiking trip across the country over the summer. See what I did there? I can't wait for all the night we spend reading for this class and just studying in general! Anyways, you're super awesome. Also, I just spent the last 5 minutes talking to Jonah. He doesn't say hi. Eli's dog is pretty cute too. Ok, bye.

Alissa, you have a very interesting sense of humor which makes me laugh whenever I am around you! Sorry about spoiler alerts there will be more to come unfortunately. You tell the truth no matter how hurtful it is, and sometimes it's hilarious! I'm so thankful for meeting you and being apart of the Super 8! I also really love tacos but I am not really sure where my love for tacos come from. I also enjoy hiking and being outdoors because it is just so peaceful! This summer, my family and I went to Peru and trekked the Inca Trail. What has been your favorite hike that you have done? I can't wait to get to know you better thought this year!
ReplyDeleteHey Alissa! It's your boy, Eli! I also have a love for tacos, but it isn't because I was born near Mexico, I have just always loved them. I also love to go out hiking and adventuring! Columbia has been a great place for that as The Natchez Trace runs right by Columbia! I really hope that one day I'll be able to hike Yellowstone and all of those parks that you mentioned. Lets switch to the real topic for a minute though. You always say that your dog is better than mine, but where's the proof? You need to show me the proof so we can have a proper debate over this topic.
